King, MD, Mary B.

Mary B. King, MD is a primary care physician on WMA’s internal medicine team.

She received a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed her residency and internship at St. Luke’s Hospital Center in New York, NY and a geriatrics fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

She selected the specialty of geriatrics because of the special medical challenges older people face. Dr. King understands the multiple factors at work: chronic diseases, medications, physical and mental functioning and independence, and family and community support systems.

She chose to practice in the northern Berkshires after vacationing in the area – she enjoyed the mountains so much she decided to make it full-time.

Dr. King enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, snowshoeing and canoeing.
