What is a Physician Assistant?
A Physician Assistant (PA) is a college graduate who receives two years of intensive post-graduate clinical training and is licensed to provide patient care under the guidance of a supervising physician.
Physician Assistants provide a broad and comprehensive range of services. Working collaboratively with your physician as members of your health care team, they perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, develop and carry out treatment plans, order and interpret lab tests, provide preventive health care screening and counseling, and can write and sign prescriptions.
